Trivia

Wei-kuang Li

Q: Why chose Ba-Ji-Quan? What dream or object had you have when you began to learn Ba-Ji-Quan?
A: I guess it was by chance; I learn this art as my teacher arranged. In the beginning, I had no particular thought about practicing, and later, I began to think about strengthening my body by practicing it. I hoped to be stronger and look better than others.

Q: what changes did learning Ba-Ji-Quan make to you?
A: I now don’t give up easily to difficulties and my mind would not be unstable, so I don’t daydream. I live every day full, from which I have the positive mindset. My temper becomes less irritable and I know how to stabilize my emotion. The hard work of practicing martial art can increase the ability to cope with pressures.

Q: Did you have the experience of being challenged or bullied? Did you solve it with martial art?
A: I did. But, I was aware that I would hurt someone badly if I use Ba-Ji-Quan and it would make things worse to involve legal responsibility. So I was afraid more to use martial art as the solution. I managed by using verbal skills and changing my attitude.
