When I saw the entire finished webpage, I was so touching. It was hard to describe my feeling. Basically, from the date we decided to enter the competition to set up team members to finish webpage, we finished the process in a very limited timeframe.

It was almost a mission impossible. However, we appreciated our school principle who fully supposed our activity, and excellent instructor team—Teacher Chen Chong Ren and Teacher Wang Xian Ji as well as students who were strongly interesting in community and exploration and also full of curiosity. These elements linked together closely that enable us to share a dream “the dream come true Tree House”.

Certainly, in the process of writing webpage, the house owner Mr. Huang Ru Long gave his full support. Our original plan was to express respect to Mr. Huang. He devoted himself to Er-Kong so that Er-Kong would not lose the original scene and common memory.

Through the interview and report process, we were affected by his enthusiasm and the identification of hometown. We had to protect our home by ourselves. Er-Kong Tree House was more a medium than an idea for Mr. Huang Ru Long. He utilized this medium to bring everyone in Er-Kong community to be close together.

Dream was beautiful. Although the Tree House was just a beginning of a small dream, though the community thinking people’ effort, we believed our hometown Er-Kong would be more and more beautiful.

Built the dream made you steadfast
.

“Dream come true Tree House” was very much different from others. The Tree House was full of old memory, homesickness, child dream and the new hope that the owner Mr. Huang Ru Long endowed with.

The Tree House brought associated childhood memory with the story “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”. One of the leading roles Huckleberry did not have a home. He lived in a tree house alone but he had an interesting friend, Tom.

They shared with each other happiness and unpleasantness of life in the tree house that brought the house which originally should be lonely full of delight. Er-Kong “dream come true Tree House” had the same function. It provided a place where local residents could chess and chat.

Although the Servicemaes Residential Compounds were in the process of rebuilt, we were very happy to see someone tried to keep childhood memory for everyone and continuously reminded each local resident “built the dream make you steadfast”.

Making effort brought you hope.


Often, we expressed our wish through writing or verbal language. We wished our children could be more understanding and polite and had better living habit.

As a decoration in Er-Kong Tree House, a wooden tablet with printing “adult set the example, children duplicated the example”, the School Cyberfair project topic “Er-Kong Tree House” owner Mr. Huang Ru Long established a learning example for students.

Er-Kong Tree House was a visible green fortress, a local spot that responded the green earth concept. The shadow of the Tree House was the spirit symbol of Mr. Huang. He made students understand dream could be come true as long as you made effort attentively and overcame the dilemma though your hands.

The architectural style the Tree House brought in could be seen in the whole Taiwan. We hoped our project “Er-Kong Tree House” could deliver the concept of “visible dream” to let students understand that dream was not only a hanging and untouchable noun. On the contrary, you could find a learning object in your community.
