Visiting the Society of Wilderness The Society of Wilderness was given birth by Dr. Wei Wun Lee and others, who loved the nature so much and wanted to preserve it for their posterity in 1995. It has remained for 10 years and its objects are to protect natural ecology and to promote natural education, emphasizing loving Taiwan by actions. Now this society is definitely the largest and the most powerful society in Taiwan. |

The plan “Digital Afforestation” is set to let school children know about, plant and observe relationship between native plants in Taiwan and environmental ecology by activities in the campus so that green plan and ecological concepts can be popularized widely and people will care about problems of the environment and global warming since young. In this plan, the Society of Wilderness and Taiwan Ecological Engineering Development Foundation are invited to practice the specialized project “Plant a native sapling and grow a tree of spirit”. 56 schools in the midst, south and east of Taiwan will carry on this project and look forward to sowing an educational seed, planting a native sapling and growing a big tree of spirit. |
