Mr. Chu-Hua Sun told us the history of no private temple in Youchang.

Gentleman Jin-Jyu Lin appreciated the gods of Yuan-Shuai Temple not allows private temple to establish in Youchang.

The temple of Taiwan is divided into two kinds, one is the public temple that the government approve, another kind is private temple that doesn't have an approbation of the government.

In Youchang area, there is only four major public temples and doesn't have private temple, The reason is while Yuan-Shuai Temple renovated in 1947A.D., it decided to worship the ancestors of six families here in the temple. This decision not only strengthen Youchang residents' faith in the temple; furthermore, it makes Youchang become more like a big family.

Expert's Comment

While Mr. Zai-Ren Yang was alive, he told Mr. Chu-Hua SunˇG "The deities in the public temple of Youchang are virtuous and good. Since Japan colonized Taiwan, the private temples which worships evils or ghosts were not allowed to establish in Youchang. So we will not see any private temple today, because of this, everybody make his own more efforts on the temple and set up more good religious manners and system.
