Shin Kuang Pier is the only pier in the SSD and the focus of the harbor project. The establishment of the Shin Kuang Pier not only provides a delightful place for recreation but also gives the old harbor a new look.

Location

The Shin Kuang Pier is located at the intersection of Shin-kuang Rd. and Cheng-gong Rd. An important spot in the harbor project area.

Brief introduction

The Shin Kuang Pier is the 22nd dock in the Kaohsiung Harbor. It is also the main part in the Kaohsiung landscape reconstructing project. It was built with the concept of oceanic capital and a meeting point of land and sea. It is the gateway to both the sea and the land transportation. Moreover, it helps access to the SSD and other business districts in Kaohsiung.

There are two parts in the Kaohsiung landscape reconstructing project. One of them is the Ocean Star which offers a lovely harbor side view. It is especially popular at night for its romantic atmosphere.

The other part in the Kaohsiung landscape reconstructing project is the Shin Kuang Pier, a deserted cargo dock renovated into a new recreational green field.
