In recent years, the development of the SSD not only focuses on the business center, but also on creating a refreshing image. The Shin Kuang Pier is an essential part in the harbor project area which intends to raise the living standard and reinforce the function of harbor. To reach the goal is quite demanding. It takes thoughtful plans and creative designs to turn a deserted dock into an international image. The successful renovation of the Shin Kuang Pier not only creates a new landscape but also provides a high quality recreational area for Kaohsiung residents. In the future, there will be more projects to reconstructing the surrounding areas around the Shin Kuang Pier in order to create a unique international SSD.
