Donating the Pottery Works
John had a good score on the rummage sale in John’s pottery exhibition. He has made 183 potteries with his jerked hands and sold 98 potteries. It made John really happy. He told his parents that he is going to donate all of the three hundred and twenty five thousand, six hundred dollars that he got. His father was touched by John’s wish of helping weak and feeble people, so John’s father chipped in some money and makes it total three hundred and twenty five thousand dollars. This money was donated to the Kiwi Orchestra, the TAASchool, the dactylology association, the infantile autism association, the ichthyosis association and the Kaohsiung Concert Group. What people think of handicapped people is that they need help. For John, he felt that he has done something worthy in his life by using the income of selling his potteries to help people.

Donating Compositions 1
John likes to listen to the radio when he makes pottery. Once, he heard that a foundation is soliciting compositions. When he heard this, he felt that he had a stirring of emotion to express. Therefore, he started to write. This article was done by John dictating one word and his mother writing one word. By this, the article was done in two weeks. The three thousand words he wrote was John’s touching story of life. Many times they reach a touching spot, they were always tearful.
After John mailed out his composition, he felt that he has done something he always wanted to do. It doesn’t really matter if John’s composition gets solicited, for John, he was already satisfied that he can look back at his whole life. One month later, John’s mother received a notice that John’s article got solicited. This made John rejoiced. The awarding ceremony was in the UDN news building in Taipei. John’s family went to Taipei to get the award. It was very crowded at the ceremony. John was very excited. For John, it was very usual to get awards when he was in elementary school. This time was the first time he got an award when he got blind, and at that time, he was twenty seven years old. Therefore, John cherished this honor. He donated the twenty thousand dollars from the award to the International Special Talent Association, the EDEN Social Welfare Foundation and a BCC reporter’s handicapped association.

Donating Compositions 2
On 1996, John heard that the Taichung Writer Association is holding a composition solicit activity. He didn’t want his mother to write for him, because he had a bad relation with his mother at that time. So he wrote a composition with Braille and mailed it out. The host was exhausted with this Braille-written composition, so they asked the CMSBSchool to translate the Braille-written composition into text, and then sent it to the judges. Not long after, the Taichung Writer Association noticed John’s family that John’s composition has been solicited, John’s mother felt that this award came abruptly and felt very happy. John got the award in Taichung happily. John donated all the five thousand dollars he got to the CMSBSchool to thank them for translating the composition. This encouraged him to continue writing. Not after long, he heard that the BCC radio is holding another composition solicit activity. He wrote a composition and mailed it out. In the result, he got the first prize again. This time, he sent the CD menu from the prize to the TMSBSchool.
In conclusion, John wishes to approve his value of life by attending composition soliciting competition. As for the prizes, he usually gives it to others that need it more than he does, and it makes him happier.
