Legend about the Templewas

The sculpture of the Second Goddess of Sea was made in 1803. The Goddess was a daughter of a rich merchant when still alive. However, she passed away suddenly, leaving her parents very sad. She told her parents not to be sorrowful because she would become the Goddess worshiped at Wanhe Temple near her home.

When her parents went to the temple to see the sculpture of her daughter, the gold sculpture had a tear drop.
