Pet food made of chlorella

Chlorella is not only a health food to humans, it is also healthy for animals. Besides supplementing humans with nutrients, chlorella can also help cultivated koi or goldfish to brighten their color. People think that chlorella are always just a bunch of waste in the pool, but the addition of chlorella feed can make ornamental fish such as koi and goldfish look brighter and prettier. Studies have shown that animal diets enriched with 0.1-0.8% or up to 3% of Chlorella daily (depending on the animal and how it’s raised) can offer significant health benefits. A daily supplement of Chlorella equivalent to 1-3% of the weight of a hairy animal’s normal daily diet has positive effects on the quality of the animal’s coat and its resistance to illnesses. Additionally, a calming effect is often observed in animals taking Chlorella. For instance, 1% of Chlorella in daily food intake for dogs and cats, can improve the quality of its fur, increase its strength, build resistance to illness etc.
