Today
is the first practice day of our Cyber Fair, and all the selected students will
come to the computer classroom. The teacher simply explained what the Cyber
Fair, and asked each of us to think about two topics. We think about the eight
categories of jobs, the possible themes that can be done, and thought wildly. I
hope that next time we can think of the characteristics of our hometown.

|
After
some discussion, teacher helped us decide that there’re two themes which are
relatively easy to do. One is Zhonghe printing industry, and the other is temple
of thunder. The result of our vote is Zhonghe printing industry. We have team
members who have parents working in the printing house, it’s a coincidence!
Teacher also sets the schedule and group rules for future exercises, and hope
that we can follow them.

Teacher
found some websites about printing and showed them to us during class. I
believe these websites must be helpful to our Cyber Fair. While introducing the
website, the teacher also told us that it is necessary to put the existing
information into a text file and put it in the cloud drive.

Teacher
asked us to try to find the information ourselves, and set the rules for
organizing the materials, so that our materials and documents became nicer. For
example, the segmentation, enlarge the font and set the word in the middle, don’t
use too many colors, and the reference URL must be attached. File names also
have certain rules.

Teacher wants us to keep looking for resources
about printing and updated the techniques for organizing the resources, to make
our information more complete. The assignments are:
1. Motivation: Why study the printing
industry in Zhonghe;
2. Procedure: What we have achieved so far;

Teacher
asked us to go back and ask if there is a family member who is doing the
printing industry. He hopes they can help us when we make a web page and make
our website more perfect.

Teacher
shared with us photos of his trip to Anpeng Printing Factory. There are many
machines I have never seen before. The teacher also shared his experience and I
am looking forward to visiting the Anpeng Printing Factory.

|
The
teacher took some paper from the printing house. The paper was not cut yet. It
had to be folded and cut before it could be turned into a complete book. The
teacher asked us to experience how to fold into a book. It turned out that this
is very knowledgeable!

Today,
we went to visit the Anpeng Printing Factory. We can see that it is not big
here. It’s in an industrial estate, with an electronics industry next door.
This is a medium-sized enterprise, where the smell of printing machine ink is
very strong. However, because they have the printing department and the digital
department separately, the digital department handled only the manuscript and
doesn’t have strong ink smell.

We
came back from visit last week and type out records and ideas in computer files.
Today is the first time we log into the account of Cyber Fair. In this place we
have to put in our name and some basic information.

Teacher said that the personal homework was
about to finish. Today we assigned jobs: call the roll, photo taking, records, people
to manage the webpages, etc. Finally, we have to take photos and upload our
experience.
The
next day, we are analyzing the works of the past Cyber Fair to see how rich the
pages of others are, how many words and photos. The teacher also asked us to do
this, or we might not win the prize. |

On
Thursday, I went to visit the printing company of Huang Xiang’s parents with Huaiying,
Fangjing and Zihao. We asked a lot of questions about printing, and how many
years his parents doing this for and why they decided to work in this
industry...etc.

Today, we have counted the number of words
and photos of the previous champions of the Cyber Fair. Teacher said that we need
to least reach this number to win the prize.

Today
we went to visit CardHome printing factory. Aunt took us to the digital
department. Uncle took us to visit the printing department, the processing
department of the binding department, etc., and our eyes were dazzled. These
interview materials should be arranged on the website.

Tomorrow
is the exam week, and our content is still not enough. We have to pause because
of the exam. Teacher will use this week to check everyone's homework again.

After
the exam, we need to exhibit the results in the school, do the promotion
activities related to printing, and let more students know the special part of
Zhonghe. Our team worked together to map the printing flow chart, the research
flow chart and the distribution map of the printing company in the Zhonghe area.
When we collected the information, we found a lot of photos. After different
opinions and screenings, we finally completed the task!

Drawing
a mind map help us know more about printing. Everyone started to draw their own
mind map, and everyone drew great. In addition, we are studying printing, so we
must learn how to make a small book. First, the teacher sends us 3-5 sheets of
paper first. Then we follow the teacher step by step and finally complete one small
book.

more days to winter vacation. Teacher started to speed up and assign different
jobs to students. Some students are in charge of making printing and binding PPT,
and some students are in charge of posters, etc. Finally, the teacher assigned an
assignment to everyone-- write reflection of the whole process.

On
the second day of school, our Cyber Fair members gathered again. The teacher
collected the information compiled by us before and put our website on the
official website of Cyber Fair. Seeing the work are about to finish, we’re
really excited. But in the third, fourth, and fifth chapters of interviews, experience
propaganda, and experience, there are many parts to be added; words, forms,
photos... and a bunch of things to sort out. Look at the information in the
cloud drive, neatly arranged, but there are still some parts missing, let’s
solve them in this week.

|
Today,
we re-examined the website, and teacher assigns 10 jobs. Some people work on
the text and make the description more fluent. Some webpages lack some topics,
and there are a lot of texts to be added. Some members shared we can try the
voice input from Google Drive. Just talk to the computer using the headset
microphone and you can type it out! Writing reflection in this way really saved
a lot of time. There are 14 photo folders, and we have to find the pictures to
match the text.

|
Chapter
4 of the website is the weakest part at present. The interview experience, the
content of the print promotion, and many more to be added. In the printing promotion
part, our members from class 603 worked hard winter holidays to refine the
poster. Before winter vacation, we went to the classes to promote the printing
and binding part. In these two days, we will make another ppt, and arrange the
library wooden floor area as exhibition place for our Cyber Fair project. We
also invite the third graders to listen to our speech, and then there are
exciting prizes-winning quizzes.

|
Today
is the due day of Cyber Fair. Everyone was very busy. Some of them were working
on self-introduction, some working on their own chapters, and some busy drawing
posters. After we have finished our parts, we have to work together to finish
the final task. Today should be the busiest day.
