Marshal Chen's Pilgrimage from Qingfan to Tianwo, by Bing-Hong.
Patrol, Back to the Temple
Patrol means gods leave the temple and look around the village. Usually in March, the city god Marshal Chen start his patrol, he will be a guest in Xiqiu Village. In this period, villagers go to the temple for holding Bei-Man Feast and worship the god. And Marshal Chen will go back to his own temple after a week.

Night Patrol
In Xiju, people also invite the city god Marshal Chen go for an patrol at night time, wishing that he can protect the village. The patrol starts from upper part of Tianwo Village and circle the whole village, then finally back to the beginning place. After Night Patrol, some people will bring god's blessings to newly married couples, wishing them have a baby soon.

Patrol procession walk with the sound of firecrackers on the street. There are many interesting roles in the line. The first one, known as "Bao-Chang-Gong(保長公)," is a puppet made in the shape of god and being responsible for street cleaning. People set off fireworks along the street intermittently. And the guban (鼓板, a Chinese percussion instrument) band also walk with the procession to make it lively and bustling.
