Power of Support

Just like loving and caring their own child, such belief in children’s capability of being better and better accompanied with a sad mood is deeply rooted in the heart of Daddy Wu and Mommy Wu, and the touch of such pride is the long-term driving force for Daddy Wu and Mommy Wu to continue to serve as the foster family.

A foster family may choose a case acceptable to one, and Daddy Wu and Mommy Wu like to select kids from at the age from primary school to high school.“Many people would like to adopt a baby and it is easier to build up the relation from scratch.  However, everyone can take care of younger kids and their life with less difficulty.  For older kids, my other half (Daddy Wu) can help communicating with the kids”, “Frankly speaking, kids coming to our home generally have problems.  Since we are a foster family, I have to change these kids.  These kids will surely become a social issue without guidance.  Therefore, I am willing to save as many as possible.” This is exactly the main purpose of Daddy Wu and Mommy Wu to become a foster family.  They do not choose those innocent babies for caring, but they take the challenge and spend time to communicate with the adolescent youngsters with wrong concepts and needed to be taught.

Perhaps we uphold the concept of “Saving a child can reduce the occurrence of social problems”, repeated counseling keeps the foster children from being disobedient and unruly, so that the foster children no longer have the off-track behaviors after they grow up and enter the society.  Daddy Wu and Mommy Wu hope that after the foster children leave the foster family, they can change the bad habits and grasp the opportunity of being helped by others and stand on their own feet when they are grown up.  Preferably, these children is capable of contributing to the society and helping whoever in need, so as to let this society pass on the love, benefit more people, and make the world warmer.

 “Being a foster family is to help the community with different methods.  When a foster child has been changed from rebellious to friendly, this society not just has one problem less only, but also gains some power, and the foster child can get the public’s trust and care.”  Such simple hope and expectation become a driving force for Daddy Wu and Mommy Wu to spare no efforts to teach the foster children and persist to do so.
