Beitou Hao Ran nursing home subordinate to Taipei City Government for the elderly , in order to increase the hospital elders' cultural and recreational activities, ceramics club established in 2010, invited Yang Xiao-ru, Wong Guo Zhen two professional pottery artists to lecture courses. After years of learning, their skills gradually to mature so their artworks even have participated in several pottery exhibitions held by the Taipei University of the Arts, and Nung Chan Monastery.

Today teacher took us to visit the Hao Ran nursing home. Entering into the subsidiary pottery classroom we see some of the elders are making pottery, casting. Everyone is very serious, cheerful, I think they focus on the way, just looks like professional pottery artists !

I think grandparents not only against  their age and still happily doing pottery but also make their life full lots of fun and color.

We interviewed the first female elder, she is not living in Hao Ran, just interested in pottery class. she felt pull hate in Hao Ran is the happiest thing, every class she has up to two or three hours. I think her vase and pen holder is very delicate, three-dimensional decorative roses, flowers lifelike, really really beautiful !

Second female elders attended pottery classes only three months, she like to do animals pottery, although just learn pottery, but still did a great job, I think she was amazing Oh! She made only for each animal is very cute ~

After today's visit I deeply appreciate the old people, who may have some problems, but still want to learn to do their own, want to do, really live too old to learn, strong willpower, silver-haired happier life. I wish I could have the opportunity to meet these elders, do pottery together to share the fun.

I visited the two amiable grandma, they are always smiling face, hand made pottery sitting area slowly repair pottery, pottery like to do anything, do pottery think both pass the time and to be self-cultivation, two Grandma seems very fond of flowers, many of the works are embedded on a flower, I hope they like every day flower never withered flowers in general, trying to bloom.

I must strive to learn well basic skill and then focus on the spirit of continuous practice, with these concepts from teacher Lin. Then I will be able to do anything, whether, as she had insisted in the end, never give up spirit.
