3-2 Kaohsiung International Ocarina Art Festival

Kaohsiung International Ocarina Art Festival was held in June, 2015 with the hope to let more people experience the beauty of ocarina. It is planned and organized by Mr. Chang, Yan-chen, the founder and the chairperson of Southern Taiwan Ocarina Art Associatio and the Elfland Ocarina Ensemble, for almost four years along with many other ocarina music lovers and this Kaohsiung International Ocarina Art Festival successfully gathers the public’s attention and generates people interests in learning more about ocarina music. It also presents special features of ocarina music to the public and makes several “crossover” music innovations in its concerts.

In addition, Kaohsiung International Ocarina Art Festival also invited Taiwanese and internationally famous ocarina players from the U.S., mainland China, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong to give concerts in Kaohsiung City.

All the attending performers showed their unique performing styles and helped Kaohsiung to connect with ocarina music and culture internationally. It successfully extended the current ocarina field in Taiwan and opened up new venues of ocarina music.
