Our Project Sound Bite

Lo-chen Wang

The most impressive was “the skill of sword and spear handling”. I had never played sword and spear before, so I felt it was interesting. Through this activity, I learnt data sorting and webpage making, and also learnt the playing of flowing sword and spear, very interesting.

Tsung-ying Hsieh

The most impressive was the performance on the stage, very happy. I played the role of a small frog, during the performance, as well as the drum. I was not nervous when performing the actors’ line.
Through this Cyberfair project, I learnt that when learning to play sword and spear, I should always say waist, eye and waist to do an action (tacit coordination). It was also interesting to wear the costume. During the interview, I was also interviewed, and I was also an interviewer, very interesting.

Hsin-ling Hsu

The most unforgettable in the Cyberfair project was that we played the sword and spear in Sanyu Arena. I learnt the rotating of sword and spear, and played for 103 times with others, really very unforgettable!
From this Cyberfair project, I learnt how to play sword and spear, and sing seven-word tune, making me very happy. I also learnt a lot of information about computer, really memorable.

Feng-ming Chuang

The most impressive was the time when I interviewed the Taiwanese Opera Club and played the sword and spear, really very interesting. I also wore the costume of the Taiwanese opera.
Through this activity, I want to continue to make webpage, because I would use it in the future.

Kuo-chen Sun

The most impressive was the time when I sent to see “The Story of Liu Hai and Jinchan”. It was the most unforgettable for me to see the fighting of Teacher Tzeing with the toad in the auditorium.
It was not easy to enter Cyberfair project team, because it is difficult to enter, but very interesting. There was also the learning of singing and sword and spear playing, and seven-word tune, Duma tune, really interesting.

Teacher Wan-ling Yang

I remembered when I was a child, at dinner time, our family member would watch the Taiwanese opera in TV. I, together with grandpa and grandma appreciated the Taiwanese opera in TV, seeing it, I felt it was interesting. But with the passing of time, it became rare to see a Taiwanese opera. For the current generation of kids, Taiwanese opera is strange. Taking the opportunity of Cyberfair project, we explored Taiwanese opera. There was great knowledge to perform a Taiwanese opera, and behind every excellent performance was years of hard practice. I would like to thank Zhi-Shan Taiwanese Opera Club for its assistance, allowing us to appreciate wonderful drama, and exposing us to the backstage of the Taiwanese opera. The kids were able to widen their horizon. In addition, the several months’ preparation and the Taiwanese opera experience course, including the learning of Taiwanese opera tune, playing the sword and spear, costume wearing, actor interview, questionnaire survey, and team cooperation, were all memorable to the members of Cyberfair project team. The traditional art would generate new sparks with the young generation. I believe that this has left a strong impression in the minds of the kids.

Teacher Kun-de Hsu

Although we learnt webpage making at school and learnt Taiwanese opera in the social studies course, it was the first time to combine the two together. It was also the first time for me to participate in Cyberfair. I experienced ups and downs from the recruitment at the very beginning to the final project completion. There were many obstacles, changing the topic, little free time of the students, poor computer skills of the students. But we overcame all of them. Every obstacle solidified our determination in completing this project. I would like to thank those who have helped us, especially Teacher Yu-chun Tseng, who made a lot of efforts in the contacting Zhi-Shan Taiwanese Opera Club. I would also like to thank the lovely students. Although they did not know how to select photos, make notes, edit films or make webpage, they worked hard, typed slowly and helped in webpage making and adjusted the picture size. They shot and interviewed with DV, tried to present the “elegance of the interviewer”, and practiced before the actual interviews. Although they made mistakes and had to read from the draft, I was moved. I knew they had tried their best. Congratulations, we completed a difficult task. Finally, we would thank two teachers fro their support and guidance. Without your help, we could not overcome the barriers. Thank you! Although this project was hard, it was invaluable experience for me. I believe that I can perform better when I participate in the future.

Teacher Tsung-Yan Huang

This Cyberfair project was quite difficult. We met some difficulties in recruitment, and also were painstaking in finding the topic. I’d like to thank two teachers for their efforts, as well as Teacher Yu-chun Tseng and Teacher Shu-ching Lin for their great assistance, meticulous preparation for many courses and experience activities, making the whole team operate smoothly. Both the students and the teachers experienced invaluable learning from this Cyberfair project. We utilized existing human resources to complete the appreciation and experience activities, as well as data organization. Everyone spend their spare time, and made efforts to complete the progress, making the whole work presented completely. In this Cyberfair project, we also saw the growth of every kid, learning the integration ability, and achieved the objective we set. Thank every teacher for hard work in guidance and thank every kid for efforts and cooperation.
