1. Guarding Lines
(1)Guardian Jiading Wetlands Youth Union
A group of young people by the ground initiated to
protect wetlands and concern about spoonbills
conservation. They use the power of Internet
communication to communicate with the government,
organize the community of building activities, and let
more and more people participate in the activities to
learn about the natural ecology of Jiading is a precious
gift to Kaohsiung .They hope they can stop the
government policy to open the road 1-4, and avoid to
contaminating and destructing of the wetlands.
What they had done:
On 2015/2/6 they launched "go and jump Jiading - knowing
Jiading from an ecological activities" they also hold
camps every year.
On 2014/11/23 they promoted "migrant season of Jiading
wetland "
They produced "Jiading eco-cultural tour map," and made
"easy bag to protect wetlands."
They participated in the public hearing conference of
the 1-4 road and the EIA Assembly.

A group which concern
for the natural environment and cultural, founded by
Jiading local people in 2008.The team was Initiated by
director Zheng, aims to promote awareness of the village
natural resources and promote sustainable development of
Jiading Township. They also encourage young students in
Jiading to promote ecology together.
What they had done:
They invited experts from cities and counties to take
care of spoonbills and the environment.They held the"
migrant season of Jiading wetland "activity.
On National Historic Landmark Day they promoted the
event called "A Journey of Jiading cultural and ecology

and Jiading Wetland Conservation Union:

A group that composed by the folk, which aims to
implement the Jiading, Yongan wetlands included in
Taijiang National Park, The action could obtain the
government protection and care in order to avoid undue
development.
What they had done:
in 2009, they held the
"Jiading (Shanghai bamboo), Wing wetlands included
Taijiang National Park Plan" countersigned action with
the Earth Civic Association, Kaohsiung Wild Bird Society
and ecological and cultural associations of Jiading .

Randolph Hester who
taught in the United States by the Department of
Landscape Planning and the Environment in Berkeley
University of California for many years promoted through
urban and rural areas Institute of the National Taiwan
University, Taiwan invested several spoonbills habitat
design and regional development plans.
What they had done:
they called on the
central authorities Conservation Forest Servicein March
2014, and asked questions of opening the way and if the
black-faced spoonbill conservation to exchange views on
the wetlands. Finally, they got Secretary Li agreement
of the folk’s conservation achievements. They consider
that Jiading can make good use of natural and human
resources in the history of the land to develop of the
international tourism industry.
