What to do when the bugs invade?

Help! There are so many aphids, caterpillars climbing up to the vegetables we planted, and there are even pigeons eating up our vegetables!

Each day, we come to the roof of our school building to water the plants, wiping out the bugs. We are so terrified that the vegetables may be eaten if we don’t pay close attention.

At the beginning, I found the vegetable bug very disgusting, so I didn’t dare to remove them.

Later, I pushed myself into the courage of taking one of them because there was no bug on other vegetables that my classmates planted. In the end, I found hunting the vegetable bugs really fun!

Also, we kept those bugs as our pets. When they grow up, they will become such a beautiful butterfly.

Ingredients:

1. 30 grams of black sugar or pure sugar
2. 90 grams of peels of oranges
3. 2 or 3 oranges
4. A recycled 600ml empty bottle

Reminder: The weight of 1, 2 and 3 should reach the balance at 1: 3: 10
Please adjust the amount of sugar and water by the containers.

Procedures:

1. Peel off the orange and tear the peel into small pieces, so that it will be easier to put them into the bottle.
2. Take 300ml of water into the bottle. Please remember do not fill up the bottle with water because it will generate air when the peel of orange ferment. It should be left one-third of the safe space of the bottle after putting all the stuff together.
3. After filling in the black sugar, seal off the bottle and shake it a little bit so that the black sugar and water will combine together.
4. Put the peel of oranges into the bottle, and seal off the bottle. And them shake the bottle.
5. Seal off the bottle, write down the day of making this water. Put the water under the space which is dark and cold for 90 days. It will be usable after it has finished fermenting.

Remark note 1:
During the first month of the process, please open the bottle every day so that the air in the bottle can be released. It will make the bottle safe so that it won’t crack.

Remark note 2:
After using the water, you should dilute it.

Planting fruits or flowers- the proportion of biocatalyst and water should be 1: 500.
Pesticide- 1:1000 ( biocatalyst: water)
