研究動機

Having decided upon our research topic, we first began by looking into past awarded research projects for reference on how to collect and organize data. Next, our teacher Mr. Kuo taught us how to use such programs as Google Sites, Google Docs, photoscape, and pen recorders.
We searched the internet, books and magazines for relevant research material on President Cheng in accordance with the requirement of the themes in question, and, in addition to touching up the fundamental outline of our research, began to design questions we would like to ask during our interview with him, based on the visual and textual data we had collected. It was rather unexpected, over the course of our discussions and ruminations, how difficult coming up with the right questions for interview can be.
During our interview at his office in Taichung, President Cheng kindly related to us the many episodes he had encountered as a man growing up, as an entrepreneur trying to make a business, and as a person trying to live his life. We also interviewed a few of his coworkers, which allowed us to look at President Cheng from different perspectives; interview with Mrs. Cheng also granted us sneak peeks into President Cheng’s family life and private interests.
