Little Reporters
(1) On the first step of interview
Little reporters should prepare well prior to interview, besides the topics to ask, they should gather all-round data. Prior to exclusive interview, they should know about the interviewee’s background and their all-round data, so as to gain the interviewee’s favor.
(2) Determination of the interview time and place
Little reporters must determine the interview time and place with the interviewees. It is the most convenient to fix on telephone. However, they still need some small skills. They’d better begin with the interviewees’ specialty and interests, so as to express your sincerities to the interviewees. Then the little reporters can determine the interview data and place in detail.
(3) Actual exercise of little reporters
Little reporters should pay attention to appropriate etiquette and graceful wearing during interview. When facing to the interviewees’, they should take care of their casual actions. Never have their arms folded over their chests, or else the interviewee will feel to be excluded out.
They should notify their parents or teachers about the place, the interviewee and the predicted completion time before going to an interview. It will be better that their parents or teachers go with them.
(4) Little skills in interview
Little reporters should get the pens, paper, recorders and cameras ready during interviewing. If the interviewee fails to answer the questions, the reporters should find out small questions from the questions they answered. If the interviewee talks something irrelevant with the questions asked volubly, the little reporters should interrupt at the proper opportunity and ask the questions again.
