Trivia of Luffa Planting

12/13(Thu)
12/17(Mon)
The luffa leaves grow bigger and the vines begin to climb on the trees. The vines climb higher and higher and the leaves grow bigger and bigger, with some small buds.
12/20(Thu)
12/27 (Thu) Height of luffa: 40cm
The leaves of small buds grow bigger and the luffa is as high as 39cm. Seven days passed but the luffa only grows 1cm higher. As seen, the soil is dry. Then water the luffa immediately.
1/4(Fri)
1/7(Tue) Height of luffa: 43cm
It is winter that the luffa grows not so fast. Some leaves have withered and their beard begins to wither too. We are so low spirited. Two luffa leaves have rotted away and the stem also seems too faint to climb on the trunk. Although they grow a little higher, we are so depressed for the rotted leaves.
1/10 (Thu) Height of luffa: 45cm
1/14 (Mon) Height of luffa: 45.5cm
There is no sunshine at the place where the luffa grows and it’s not a good season for luffa growth in winter, we all expected that the luffa can grow better without follow-up rotted leaves. The luffa stem is going to rot and its leaves are going to wither instead of climbing upward. We all worry about the luffa.

In summary: observation record of luffa terminates at the end of semester. It’s a pity that the planted luffa seedlings didn’t grow healthily as we expected in winter. We look forward to planting another luffa seedling when the summer is coming in the next semester, in the hope that it will bloom and yield fruits smoothly under our good care.
