Erbawan Trail

Near Dah Chiou Yuan Community Farm, there is a well-known ancient path called “Erbawan Trail”. This is a small path from Ershui Township Huimin Village Liutsaikeng to Minchian Township Daliukeng. It has a hundred-year history, from Qing Dynasty until today, it is an important road for access to Ershui.

Babao Canal

Babao Canal almost covered the entire Changhua County (flowing through eight bao), providing for rich and important water resources for agriculture. Since then, Changhua’s agricultural produce has grown very well and healthily; everyone who has eaten it would have a deep impression. Thus, Babao Canal has also become the mother of Changhua, known as “The mother river of Changhua.”

Linsiansheng Temple

When troubles were encountered when constructing Babao Canal to convey water, the improvement methods provided by Lin Siansheng helped Shih-bang Shih to successfully convey water to complete the canal construction. Later, the people appreciated his outstanding contribution, and built a temple to honor him at the source of the canal. The temple also housed the two other greater contributors to the canal, Shih-bang Shih and Shih-cing Huang.

Chichi Train─Yuanchuan Station & bicycle lane

Ershui Train Station is the terminal station of Nantou Chichi Railway Branch, passing along Yuanchuan, Jhuoshui, Longchuan, Chichi, and Shuili, with Checheng as the terminal point. In the 50s and 60s, Chichi Railway Branch passed through Ershui Train Station to transport timber, bananas, and mountain game all over the country. Material resources from the north and south were transported into the mountains via Ershui Train Station, making it an important hub for resources. Next to Chichi Railway Branch, there is also a “bicycle lane and walk way.” Riding the bicycle to experience the beauty along the way can be a great source of enjoyment!

Lianheguo Leisure Ranch

The origins of Lianheguo are very simple – the ranch has “lotus (lian and he)” and “fruit (guo),” hence the name Lianheguo.

The farm has wooden rafts and zip-wire trolley cages for the tourists to experience them. Why experience them? It is because early on Ershui Township did not have a developed transportation system, so the owner and his wife designed such equipment so the tourists could experience them. Other than these experiential facilities, there are also kilns here so that tourists could experience baking yams on their own.

There are so many fun and interesting tourist spots. What are you waiting for? Come to Ershui Township to check them out!
