Research Motivation

We are very interested in official system of Taiwan established by Qing Dynasty, so we decided to have further understanding through on-site investigation and literature review. After discussion, we decided to select the solely preserved Taiwan Public Administration Hall of Qing Dynasty in Taiwan at Taipei Botanical Garden located on Nanhai Rd. in Taipei City .

We planned to acquire more accurate information, understand the attitude toward restoration of historical sites, and properly preserve the historical sites through on-site investigation and research as our research motivation.

Expected Contribution

•  Understand the history of historical sites such as official system and hierarchy of the end of Qing Dynasty.

•  Discussion the influential factors among conditions to establish important governmental organizations.

•  Analysis of value of Taiwan during that time and treatment received as well as comparison of current status of Taiwan .

•  Investigation of public awareness toward the historical site with questionnaire surveys on community residents.

•Awakening public responsibilities to preserve historical site to add more added value of tourism to the historical site.

•  Researching status of value of Taiwan under the governance of Qing Dynasty;

•  Discussion of Governor of Public Administration at each different stages;

2011/09/09 Found partners for the team of “Writing, the Most Delicate Thinking Team” and decided to join International Schools Cyberfair Contest.

2011/10/07 Reviewed excellent work in the previous contests and jolted down notes.

2011/10/07 Proposed theme (initial concept) report.

2011/10/21 Consulted with instructors and confirmed research direction.

2011/10/28 -11/04 Used the Internet to search for at least three effective entries of data and compiled data before proposing research plan (draft) report.

2011/12/04 Conducted on-site investigation at Public Administration Hall.

2011/12/09 Proposed research plan (final draft) report.

2011/12/18 Searched information and compiling data at National Central Library.

2011/12/23 -30 Proposed initial research report.

2012/02/05 Group leader again went to National Central Library and branch library (Art and Audio Information Center ) to research information.

2012/02/18 Zhelun and Yijin went back to Public Administration Hall for better photos.

2012/02/19 The whole group worked at National Central Library.

2012/02/27 Final compiling.
