Chen Guan Shiue

　　Chen Guan Shiue is generally considered a wise man living at the foot ofTaiwu Mountain. After retiring from teaching, he farmed at Xinpi Township, Pingtung County while writing about his life away from the hustle and bustle of city life. 　　He was a writer with not only a strong will but also a sense of frustration. All of his thoughts were reflected in his works. His most representative works was 《Autumn Garden》, famous for its Taoist philosophy of life and terse but vivid description of nature. Speaking of old farmers and describing for field made his work highly respectable by the critics and the general reading public.
