Reflections
I feel ashamed after one day studying in night school. The students in the night school work harder than I do in my class and their handwriting is beautiful. They even practice more than the teachers ask them to do.
Because there are only grade1,2,3 in night school, what they learn is easy for me. However, I was very impressed by their enthusiasm.
I find that the foreign brides seldom talk and discuss in class. It is probably because they feel difficult to speak Mandarin. However I think they will make it if they can keep trying. By the way, the students in night school are awesome. Their writing is far more beautiful than ours. We should learn from them.
In my opinion, students in the nigh school are having positive attitude. Even though it is difficult for some of them to make certain sounds when speaking Mandarin, they still practice hard. Especially for the foreign brides who are already mothers that need to take of children or work during daytime, they show no tiresome in class. I think I should also study hard as they do and gain as more as I can now.
Although the learning material the students use in night school is same with the ones we use in elementary school, the teachers teach different. In addition, they time of class and break time is also different. There are only three subjects in night school. And there is no math class!
Students in the night school go to school at night because they have to work during daytime. The students always focus and the teachers teach patiently. In order to let the students learn well, the teachers also use many useful teaching methods and encourage them continually.
One of my unforgettable experience is trying to teach in night school with Melody. I found it very challenging but I do learn a lot through this experience.
The students in night school are very kind and enthusiastic. They tend to help each other and give us cookies as a gift. All of them study hard and learn happily.
