Visit Jing-Fu TempleMr, Shih, Ming-HuangMr. Chen, Po-ChouInterview record

We invited Teacher Shih, Ming0Huang from 「Taoyuan County Fellowmen Association」to be our tour guide for visiting the Greatness Temple. We paid attention to listening to his interpretation for preparing our project
Although it was cold and windy, Teacher Shih still interpreted the surrounding and east, west, south and north gates and state chamber of Jing-Fu Temple in earnest. We paid our attention to listening to Teacher Shih’s interpretation although the weather was really bad. Because it was cold, Teacher Hsin went back to the school to take coats for us.

Because the canopy blocked the Koji Pottery on the State Chamber and roof architecture, Teacher Kuo, Yun-Ching inquired the temple. With requested the Temple Management Commission’s permission, we were allowed to enter 2nd floor to watch bell tower which is not open to the public. We thus saw fragmented ceramic pieces fallen on the ground due to batter by wind or rainfall.
We were very happy at that day because the Jing-Fu Temple allowed us to watch some Celsestial Being statues which are not open to public usually. Normally those statues are blocked by iron railings. That was the first time for us to watch the Celestial Being statues so closely. It’s really amazing

This rarely-seen pair of Celestial Candleholders is a cultural relic treasured by Jing-Fu Temple. From its artistic style, this pair is estimated to belong to Ching Dynasty.
