The Chairman spoke of future of Yuan-Shuai Temple
While visiting, uncle Chen always answered our questions seriously, he often bowed his head to look for the answer from books, seemed to worry giving us wrong information.

Aunt and uncle beside us helped uncle Chen to answer question.
Uncle Chen participates in the temple's patrol every year.
Uncle Chen guided us to visit the four Ancient stone pillar around atrium.

Q:What future of the temple do you hope?
A¡G The future, I think the future is almost the same as the present! How to develop the temple? do you mean the temple will be turned into commercialization? Yuan-Shuai Temple is impossible commercialized, because gods don't like that direction.

Q:How large is the area of Yuan-Shuai Temple at present? Who and when do the Fang-Yuan(fine garden) build?
A¡G The area of Yuan-Shuai Temple amounts to 1500 level ground(an area measure equal to 3.3057 square meter or 36 square feet ). Fang-Yuan was built in 1988A.D., it was built in Mr. Shuei-Da Jheng's term of office.

Q:When does the gods' patrol be held? Have you ever participated in it? While patroling, what impressed you most?
A¡G The patrol is once a year, the time is probably in lunar 8 month or lunar 9 month, the exact date is decided by the gods' instruction. The routes of patrol cover whole Youchang area, including the four major temples, Ford Temple¢¹(Temple of the Land-God), Ford Temple¢º(Temple of the Land-God) and San-Shan-Guo-Wang Temple (Temple of the Three Mountain-Kings).
(The teacher asked: are the routes now the same as the past?)
Yes, they are similar, patroling outside of the area first, then inside. They won't be changed unless gods have other asking.
(The teacher asks: Is there special thing to happen?) During patrol, the temple will prepare a big cauldron poured oil and charcoals burned below the cauldron. If oil sounds from the cauldron, it hints there is devil here. I never see the evil or ghost, but person who is a ghost-seeing can see. One time I heard a kid told his grandfather: "Grandfather, why a lot of small people are jumping into that big cauldron."

Q:What is your feeling to Yuan-Shuai Temple? Can you describe it with a sentence?
A¡G The feeling is very good!(All laught).
