Buildings and Carvings Grand Dawu
The Old Fawan Tribe is located in Dawu Mt. area. Although the traffic is not so convenient, the environment is second to none all over the world, which could be compared to the artistic scenery of Tao Yuanming’s works Taohua yuan. Old Fawan is at the elevation of 850 feet. And its traditional territory is very vast, including 580 hectares traditional agriculture and forestry land and 3.06 hectares building area. If other 11 branches of the tribe are counted, it would be the biggest tribe in the group of Paiwan Tribe.
The eastern part of the Old Fawan Tribe is viewed as the Dawu Mt. area of the Central Mt. Every morning, this mountain greets the rising sun. Because of the precipitous mountains in the vicinity of the tribe, streams from the Dawu Mt. area rush down rapidly and then turn into a lot of waterfalls. In addition, Old Fawan is one of the original tribes in the Paiwan Tribe group. It is well worth for tourists having a visit to the ancient sites near the tribe.
