Most of the Light House base are flat and vast. However, the base of Dong- Yong Light House is slightly steep and forms a sharp location. Dong- Yong Light House is centered on the tower, and the ancillary buildings are mixed together and connected by narrow and towering ladders and corridors. The buildings are dotted from north to south, from high land to low land, and lined in a straight row. These building dwell on the hill of hugh stones, without spacious plazas and hinterland. According to the height of the land, the stripe of buildings can be roughly divided into five zones:
- Pen Zone: The zone locates at the highest point or the house facing east. The zone is divided into chicken oen and pig pen. The zone has been abandoned. Visitors can now only see the broken remains of the pens.
- Chinese Light House Keeper's Room and two ancillary buildings: The zone is on the right of the pen zone. The two buildings are in the same row. The former one was the rooms for the Chinese Light House keeper and cleaning room, while the latter building was separated into washing room, storage room, lime room, and working room. The distance of each room was a mere 60 cm, which was a weired scene to see. After the renovation, the latter building is transferred into the storage room while the other into the dormitory for the Light House keepers.
