My two topics are: first, analyzing the spring; second,
understanding and preventing the debris flows. On the one
hand, I am interested in it. On the other hand, I feel that
it’s difficult while working on these two papers. It is
because when I search on the internet, there is often large
amount of unwanted information. So, it is difficult to find
materials that I really want and need. However, it is worthy
of doing it. Thus, I have to work harder and come out the
best results.

My two topics are: analyzing the spring; understanding and
preventing the debris flows. When I was finding and
searching the materials, I often found out the usefulness
information, especially those which analyze the springs. I
usually got large amount of superfluous information about
spring analyzing, so I felt it was the most difficult part
that I encounter so far. I believe through hard working, I
can have the best results.

The Pamphlet of the Environment Issues |
Students joined the activity of “Making Chinese-English
Pamphlet” in the noon and evening. The main purpose is
to co-operate the reading activity, which is held by the
school on December ninth. What's more, it can make
students to rethink the power of environmental changing
on community, through several activities and learning
from the computer researching.
Most students used “the past and present of Rui-feng” as
titles of the pamphlets. The contents concluded water
source, typhoon, and heavy rain’s influences to the
community. Students are comprehensible in their minds of
the community issues after experiencing the whole
activity.

The Fruitage of Making English Pamphlet
|
This is the
pamphlet of environment issues that students spent their
time in the noon and evening to come to an end. The
contents includes issues of the past and present of
Rui-feng, debris flows, and water source.
We hope our students will present their learning in
stories of the pamphlets in a creative way after they
participate in the activity and reflect on the
environmental issues that the community is facing with
nowadays.

Learning From Making the Pamphlets

We think
it was very interesting to make the Chinese-English
pamphlets. Through this way, we not only saw everyone’s
productions, but also learned many fascinating things.
Although there were some little problems happening
during the progress; nevertheless, we were still happy.
Because it was our first time to make the
Chinese-English pamphlets. Even though they were not
good at it, we were glad to saw and welcome many
students’ productions and ourselves.
Hope that we have another chance to make Chinese-English
pamphlets next time.

Writing of Gains
|
We went
to the fountainhead of our school today. It was such a
remote place that we
Know that water was difficult to reach Rui-feng
elementary school. Moss covered the pipes so it was hard
to tell exactly where the pipe was. We also saw four
filter pools; they contained charcoal, precipitate, and
small stones. Small stones can precipitate the impurity
above the water. The principal told us the water was not
quite clean, it had to be filtered through four filter
pools and then be carried to school to be boiled before
using. The principal picked up small stones from the
pool and said there used to be more grass in the pool.
It was surprising for us that there was no grass now. We
have to cherish water source because it is very
inconvenience without water. Also, water is difficult to
obtain. It is not taken for granted that we turn on the
water top and the water should come out. So we have to
treasure water.

We paid a visit to the first fountainhead of our school.
It was a place which locates far away from school. There
were four filter pools. There were charcoals and stones
in pools, and those things can precipitate dirty things
in unclean water. And with the carrying of the pipes,
water which was managed can be carried to our school.
So, without the wellspring, we wouldn’t have water in
our school. Due to the difficult to get water, we have
to take satisfaction in drinking every drop of water in
our school.

We
visited the first wellspring today, and we saw many
bamboos and four barrels, too. Those four pools were
used to purify water. Some were for filtering, and
others
were used for containing stones and sand. We found some
pipes were broken, the principal told us they were
difficult to recover. Thus, we have to economize using
water.
Though we only spent two classes for visiting; however,
we learned a lot from this journey.
The water we used were produced from a complex
progressing, I hope everyone can keep it in his mind,
and save water while using it.

Brief Introduction of Water Tower in the School
|

Place: Every Water Tower in the School
The
school leads students to find out the supplying system
of water source in the school at noon. The contents
include the trends of the first and the second water
source; the main function of every water tower and
methods of building, and the correlated equipments of
water pipe motors. These equipments make students know
the setting of water tower, which weights 300 tons, in
our school, and the supplementary measures when lacking
of water.
