Development of Agriculture and ForestryTourism-orientated AdvanceForest ManagementImprovement of the Ecological Environment

Influenced by the aborigine’s advocate of the tribal tourism, inhabitants start to rethink the future development of their community. And they view the tourism business as their first choice to develop their neighborhood. After the media immensely reporting and exposing, the community of Rui-feng successfully turns to be one the most significant scenic spots.

We are approaching our ultimate goal to expand our locality’s finance through tourism business. However, even though nowadays we can see many commercial services as hotels of bed and breakfast, restaurants, and retail shops, these kinds of business are nothing but the imitation of the metropolitan’s cooperating and consuming culture. On the one hand, those materialized tourist markets and people’s fetish characters jeopardize the maintaining and the renovation of the tribal tradition. On the other hand, those who don’t participate in the tourism management still make their living by farming or taking a part-time job. In a word, the new form of the mechanism for social reproduction doesn’t shape perfectly yet. The present tourism-oriented policy not only makes farmers’ living divorced from the intergrowth system with residents, but also presses them to become the consuming and peeing victim of the tourism industry. In other words, the oppression of this kind of industry not only affects the economic profit of the farming, but also endangers our original culture and convention. It’s very urgent to let our students form a sense of ownership and participation in community affairs. In order to achieve this goal, we have to cheer our students to learn from their interaction with environmental activities. That is to say, to inspire them how to incorporate the content of courses, learned from school with the natural experience of life. In this way, we can educate our next generation how to solve the problem appropriately, which they may encounter in their daily life.
