About Rouzongjiao Birdwatching Sunset & Fishing Oyster Farming Catch Mud Shrimps & Gmelins More

Why is Rouzongjiao so named?
Actually Rouzongjiao is an undeveloped beach located at the west of Changhua Coastal Industrial Park. Because the armor units look like triangle dumpling, pronouncing “ rou-zong” in Taiwanese, Rouzongjiao is so named. It is gorgeous to look over these “rou-zong.” If we observe the armor units of the other coasts in more detail, we will find all the armor units look similar. Why is only Rouzong Beach in Hsien-Hsi called “Rouzongjiao?” One fisherman said, “because Hsien-Hsi natives called it ‘Rouzongjiao’ first, we got the patent right. And that is way Hsien-Hsi beach is named Rouzongjiao in Taiwan.”

Some places of interest & fun things to do at Rouzongjiao Beach
There are rich varieties of geography around Rouzongjiao, especially the desert beach. When the tide is on the ebb and the wind rises, the air will be filled with the beach sand. This situation looks as the Sahara Desert and impresses the visitors. This beach is also a paradise of the local people who love horseback riding. Many horseback riding lovers take their horses to the beach, and then enjoy riding the horse at the beautiful beach. On the other hand, there are many conserved migratory birds that fly south for the winter’s coming. These birds will rest and feed here. Therefore, the platforms were built to provide the visitors a place to watch birds several years ago.
In addition, the artificial coast and Ching-An channel are another two paradises of fishing. You can usually see a group of fishermen gather there on holidays. When the tide of Ching-An is on the ebb, you also can see the interesting gmelins & mud shrimp digging and oyster farming on the mud flat.
