There are two harvests a year, with the first period from February to June, and the second from July to November. Due to the influence of climatic conditions, the rice yield of the second period is 20%-50% lower than that of the first period.

Autumn is the major production season. Common ones are Niou-sin Persimmon, Shi Persimmon and Japanese Persimmon Kaki, which are rich in nutrients and can be made into dried persimmons with Hsinchu's unique Jiujiaofeng (or northeast monsoon) and sunshine. The "Gaoping Shop" in Nanpu Village is a well-known local persimmon farmer. Tourists often pay special visit to the shop and taste the unique flavor of handmade persimmons.

The production season is from December to May of the following year. The local leisure farms introduces the earth oven cooking from the early days for tourists to experience the fun of it. So far, many tourists have been attracted to these activities. The most famous ones are the Uncle Sweet Potato earth oven cooking and Mike Country Field.

The production season is from late October to December. The local residents adopted organic farming methods and insisted on not using pesticides. At first, the acceptance was not high because the citrus planted were not beautiful on the outside and not as sweet. Later, the community took everyone into the citrus orchard through activities for them to experience the citrus planting process in person and to understand the harm of pesticides to the body. Everyone gradually began to like the not looking great but healthy and simple taste.
