ZHENG, YU-XUAN

By teacher helps we successfully complete the solar battery for this times experiment.Through this times’ experiment I understand more about the process of how solar battery produce instead of from internet. By this experiments I found out that the advantage of solar battery is it make lower pollution in production process and can still produce electricity even there is dust on but compare to other battery it release too less current.In the result of our experiment we get about 0.01 mA current and 0.51 volt. Use N3 as material’s con is produce too less current, through this experiment  I’ve got more knowledge wish in the future I can find a batter material to get improve let solar battery can produce more electricity.

Meanwhile in the interview to Mr.Lai, Mr.Lai answer a question that confused me for a longtime, Why Taiwan’s government didn’t do much movement to popularize solar power energy, Mr.Lai said that by Taiwan’s economic structure solar energy is something that only rich can have because it cost about two hundred thousand NT and take more than 10 years tocover the cost.Then Mr.Lai give a way to solve this problem. He’s idea is when poor people get solar energy sale the electricity left back to government than poor can cover the cost faster also earn some money, but this way only work if bank willing to lend money to poor people which is almost impassable for now.It is also one reason that solar energy can’t be popular wish in future we can successfully develop solar energy.

 LIN, MIN-SHENG

School use a few days to teach us to do experiment of make solar battery. First we use alcohol clean conductive glass and use multimeter to know which side of glass is conductive then use colorless tape to set conductive glass and mix a dilute nitric acid solution as the material use later. And then use a glass dropper put nitric acid solution into 2 grams of titanium dioxide power and grind the mixture then put surfactant in and wait 15 min.This step requires more technic because the powder can’t be grind too small or too big or the experiment will fail.After 15 min put the mixture on conductive glass’ surface then bake it for 20 min.After this step put the after bake conducive glass into roselle dyes for a few hours. Than clean another conductive glass put graphite on conducive side as the positiveside of battery then heated it for 5 min and put two glass together and keep quarter of glass outside and use clip to set battery.And drop electrolyte into the battery.Then the battery is finished it can produce electricity for now.Through this experiment I learn how to DIY a solar battery also understand how it work and it advantage and disadvantage.Wish in future we can use this technology in good way or have batter way to produce electricity which produce less pollution.

HUANG, JUN-CHENG

For this times solar energy plan first we go to Yunlin Mailiao’s solar energy greenhouse, In the greenhouse we saw the place crops grow also know the knowledge of growing food.Further these greenhouse not just use as a greenhouse it is also a solar energy power plant.Afterthe visiting of greenhouse we eat the meal made by the crops we just saw and it is delicious.After that we visit the expert of crickets.We learned a lot knowledge of cricket also saw how cricket fight make me feel learning is interesting.

In school we spend two days to make a solar battery by natural material. We use roselle’spigment as dye for solar battery.The first thing I learn is how to use a multimeter to find the conductive side of conductive glass. And the side with graphite is positive and the side with titanium dioxide is negative side. And mix titanium dioxide with dilute nitric acid is a changeful step I fail a few times and finally success. And put graphite and mixture on conductive glass is also difficult, substance we put on glass can’t be too thick or to thin. Finally after a few step we make solar battery. In this experiment I learn how to get energy from natural resources also get more close to natura

 ZHANG, GU-XIN

After discussing with professor Lai, I realize that Taiwan government didn’t pay attention on “Solar Power.” There are only two office customized on solar power business. One of the reason why Taiwan didn’t focus on solar is because M-form society. M-form society causes the gap between rich and poor, also the prize of solar power are much higher than others. Although people know the importance of environment protection, however we still over rely on those energy resources that damage the earth. Those reasons result in that most of the energy resources we use are not as efficient as other countries which uses solar power as their main energy.

HUANG, YI

After this time’s report and interview, in the future solar energy still has it’s possibility of evolvement. We’re M-form society, however most people on the top of society won’t like to spent effort ona energy resources that cost a lot. Also solar panels can only built on a roof that is legal, as I said not every people will spent effort on it. After having an interview with Mr. Lai, student Oscar Cheng said right now solar power can only support other energy. People knows nuclear power will damage the environment, however solar power cannot create as much energy as nuclear power, therefore solar power cannot replace nuclear power. Furnishing solar panel cost a lot, not every family are able to provide it. We expect our government to promote solar energy actively, hopefully more people can know the advantage of solar energy.
