Gratitude and Challenges

In this year’s Cyberfair research, there were lots of people who helped us along the way so we were able to stay focused and happy to learn, understand, and share shuochang. We want to thank everyone we helped us so we are able to complete our project ‘Clapping, Talking, and Singing – The Art of Shuochang at Yu-Tsai’ smoothly.

Our Gratitude

[Thank You] Student shuochang expert teachers who taught us wholeheartedly

We want to thank the seven students from the shuochang club who agreed to be our teachers. They sacrificed their break time to teach us from understanding, singing, to performing shuochang. They even helped us writing scripts and making posters.

[Thank You] Parents who were there for us

Parents of our shuochang expert teachers accompanied us to different venues. They helped us film, take pictures, and bring props so our shows could proceed smoothly. They even suggested on how we can make the performance better and encouraged us to venture forward.

[Thank You] Ms. Li who taught us so professionally

We want to thank Ms. Li for assisting us throughout the project. She helped us in learning shuochang, researching more in-depth on the topic, proofreading our scripts before the show, and giving us constructive suggestions to make our shows more entertaining.

[Thank You] Directors and members of T.Q.T. and Han-Lin who shared shuochang so unselfishly with us

We want to thank them for sharing so many shuochang tips and stories with us in the interview. They instructed us on the proper way to play a three-piece clapper and recite ‘Felicitations.’

[Thank You] The audience who cheered us on so enthusiastically after watching our performance

We want to thank everyone who stopped by to watch us perform. Your support and applause gave us the courage and confidence to complete the show.

[Thank You] People who took their time to do surveys with us

In order to gain more insight into the topic, we conducted surveys. We want to thank those who stopped and took their time to complete the survey for us. From the survey results, we were able to analyze and obtain insightful information about shuochang.

[Thank You] Family members who gave us their unconditional support

We want to thank our parents for giving us their unconditional support throughout the project. They cheered us on when we were exhausted and helped us to complete the project.

[Thank You] The entire Yu-Tsai teaching staff who supported us all the way through

We want to thank Principal Pan, all school directors, and teachers for supporting and encouraging us throughout the Cyberfair project. Principal Pan not only provided us with lots of suggestions, but also arranged meetings and interviews for us. We also want to thank our teachers for letting us work on the project during regular class time.

[Thank You] Cyberfair teachers who were always there for us

Throughout the project, if there was anything we did not understand, our Cyberfair teachers would be there to point us to the right direction. We want to thank our Cyberfair teachers for giving us opportunities to shine. We learned to be brave and work hard without holding back.

[Thank You] Cyberfair teammates who went through the project through thick and thin

We want to thank everyone on the Cyberfair team. We came up with some pretty wild and crazy ideas, we gave each other solid backings, and we made working together fun and enjoyable.
