Analysis of The Questionnaires


The interview objects of the questionnaires were five elementary schools having Chinese orchestra club in Changhua County. The total number is 376, and 255 valid questionnaires are returned.

The comparison of the number and proportion of the students of the five elementary schools who continue to join Chinese orchestras after they enter junior high school.

【Notes】

(1)

Zhong-Shan Elementary School: In the school district, there are Chinese orchestra clubs in Yang-Ming junior high school and Changhua junior high school.

Din Fan Elementary School: In the school district, there is Chinese orchestra club in Lu-Ming junior high school.

(3)

Haibu Elementary School: In the school district, there is no Chinese orchestra club in Lu-Kang junior high school.

Jin Shou Elementary School: In the school district, there is Music Class in Yuanlin junior high school.

Yongjing Elementary School: In the school district, there is no Chinese orchestra club in Yongjing junior high school.

【Analysis】

It is found that the school districts of Zhong-Shan Elementary School and Din Fan Elementary School for junior high schools have Chinese orchestra clubs, thus nearly half of the students choose to continue to participate in the Chinese orchestra clubs. Though school district of Jin Shou Elementary School for junior high school has music class, students need to pass an entrance examination. The school districts of Haibu Elementary School and Yongjing Elementary School for junior high schools do not have Chinese orchestra clubs. It can be deducted that if there are Chinese orchestra clubs in the school districts for junior high schools, students will be willing to continue to join the clubs.
