Promotion motivation
Seeing the magic of the Green Building, appreciating the beauty of the nature, and knowing the importance of Green Buildings to our environment, we, the members of “Green Miracle”, felt like taking the responsibility for a promotion task; therefore, we planned to hold a series of activities in our school, through which we hope to have an impact on teachers and students. To make them take “Green Building issue” seriously.

▲One after another, we wrote down the activities which we had attended before, and revised the framework of the whole activity project.
We named the activity “I Love Green Buildings.” The most difficult part of the whole planning process was the activity part, since most of us didn’t have any relative experience. Our teacher used brainstorm to help us write down the activities that we had attended before, and through several discussions and revisions, we finally came up with the framework of our activity project.
After that, we integrated our group members’ ideas and finished the activity project with some help of our teacher.
Because “I Love Green Buildings” was going to be held in the week of Environmental Integration in December, we divided the activity project into four stages: investigation stage, preparation stage, activity stage, and reflection stage. This would not only help us to carry out the project, but also help us to control the rate of the project. Besides, we searched for the supports from school and other related units in hopes of the promotion plan could go smoothly inside and outside the school.
Investigation stage:
There were a lot of preparation works, such as discussing the content of the activity project, designing questionnaires, conducting a survey inside the school, statistics analysis, and revising the design of activities.
Preparation stage:
At this stage, we wrote the activity project, made a trailer for the magical tree house, put photos in order, drew a blueprint of Green Buildings, made models, wrote a script, rehearsed the play, painted posters, designed invitations, marked out the routes, prepared for the exhibition. And we were also trained to be a tour guide for the exhibition.
Activity stage:
We went to the scientific corridor in every break we have since we were more than willing to be a guide of “I Love Green Buildings.” Meanwhile, we were expecting students to listen to our speeches with their full attention.
Reflection stage:
Things went beyond expectation sometimes. Although they had been well organized, they still went out of control sometimes; therefore, our group members discussed and revised some parts of the plan at noon every day in order to make things perfect.
Activity Investigation:
Our group designed a pre-test questionnaire, through which we would like to know the manner preferences of teachers and students, that is, the activities they prefer, in Fuxing Elementary School.

Project Framework
After conducting the promotion project, we handed it to the school for examination. School officials granted the project whilewe were busy preparing for another the English exhibition. We were very gratitude that our effort paid off.

Difficulties
This was our first time to arrange an activity project. Because lacking of experience, we couldn’t convey the idea of Green Buildings through posters precisely. After several discussions, we changed our original painting work into an E-book and started to work on constructing Green Building models and literature works. Moreover, our group decided to consult Architecture and Building Research Institute "ABRI", Ministry of The Interior, and present our project when visiting them.
Fortunately, ABRI answered our requests, so we moved on practicing the presentation. Each of us should present our part of presentation in the meeting with Director Ho and Mr. Chen.
During the meeting with Director Ho and Mr. Chen, we did our best to deliver the presentation. Director Ho told us that he was glad to see us working on the project related to Beitou Library. Touched by our dedication, he encouraged us to carry on our project and granted us our requests, that is, to invite an expert to deliver a speech in our school and to lend us Green Building Board for promotion. Mr. Chen, the president of Taiwan Green Building Council, supported our project as well. Moreover, he designated an architect, Wang, Wan-Zhi, from the department of development to assist us. Besides, he would like to report our project after the promotion was done. We were so happy for their great help and support. With everyone’s support, we promised to devote ourselves to the project wholeheartedly.

Preparing for almost a month and a half, finally, our project was carried out. The process was not an easy task; however, when we received positive feedback from others, everything is worthwhile.

I was happy that the teachers in bi-language department came to see the introduction of our website. We received a lot of recognition from them. Furthermore, it was very electrifying that the chairman also came to see our works. She was really interested in our website. We also introduced our website to her, and we felt very proud of our work at this moment. "Po- En"
It's finally the day! In the beginning, we revised the story of “Three Little Pigs” and performed it to the students in a junior class in a form of puppet performance. We put the concepts of Green Building into the story and conveyed the importance of environmental consciousness to them. During the drama, although we felt somewhat nervous, we did our best to perform it and tried to make everyone laugh. The performance was pretty successful. Although it took us a lot of time to rehearse, after seeing audience’s smiles, we felt our efforts were worthwhile.
After the performance, many teachers came to see our work and gave the thumbs up at our message board. We felt really happy about it, which was hard to describe the joyful feeling by words.
I think we also have learned a lot during the entire process. As a habitant living on Earth, it is meaningful to spread the concept of Green Building and environmental consciousness to others. Through this activity, we hope everyone can cherish the place we live more. "Shu-Yun"
We held an amusing and interesting activity in our school. We first performed to the students in a junior class. Before our performance, I was very nervous. But I was relieved after the performance because our performance was great and we received a lot of applause at the end of our performance. I think this is because we spent a lot of time on rehearsal. Later, we held an exhibition at the passage and introduced our work to others. We also demonstrated Interactive Computer Games to make our exhibition become more interesting. We hope that people can know more about the green building through our exhibition. "Yun -Tung"
Wow! A lot of classmates came to see our Green Building exhibition with curiosity. We felt really excited about it. We divided the work of introduction. Some were responsible for introducing the concept of the Green Building; some were responsible for introducing the model. I was responsible for a special task: I taught classmates how to operate the Interactive Computer Games. A lot of classmates were curious about this game. With the professional explanation of the architect from Taiwan Green Building Council and the help of the game, everyone had learned more about the Green Building. " Hou-Hua"
We decorated the corridor for the exhibition, hoping the exhibition can be successful. We borrowed a poster from Taiwan Green Building Council and used the Interactive Computer Games in order to help classmates understand the significance of the Green Building. With the help of the multimedia, the exhibition became very interesting. We also made Green Building models with recycled materials, trying to spread the concept of environmental consciousness to others. Through our exhibition, we hope everyone can reduce the consumption of energy and resources and cherish the place we live more in the future. "Chi-Han"
We held an exhibition at the corridor. Our creative Green Building model attracted many classmates. Many classmates said that our model turned waste material into things of value. In addition, I think besides the content of our exhibition, it is important to plan a visiting route. A lot of plans came to our mind and we also referred to visiting routes of many amusement parks. We hope our classmates will not be stuck in a long queue during the exhibition. Furthermore, we served as ambassadors to spread the concept of the Green Building to the community and held an activity of Green Building in National Taiwan Normal University. We think we also learned a lot from these activities. All of us did a good job, especially Shu-Yun. She introduced the Green Building thoroughly to the neighbors of the community. We received a lot of credits from them, and they said they will help us to promote the idea. We felt really happy about it. "Je - En"
