Exhibitions of works

After 3.5 months of DIY study, the research team had made creative works in DIY clay, perler beads, beads, rhinestone, wool felt, and scrunchies, so we held an exhibition at the end of the term to share our DIY works with classmates. There are also works loaned from parents who are experts in DIY, which improves the content of the exhibition and helps people to gain a better understanding of DIY as a really comprehensive field with lots of variety.

Preparation for the exhibition of works

Before the exhibition of works, a teacher at school was coincidentally giving away first-month cakes in beautiful boxes. The background yellow colors were very elegant, and we used these cake boxes to decorate the beautiful accessories we made by hand. As for the loans from parents, Tie-pi’s mother was a major contributor, who uses leather sculpture and Decoupage to make many beautiful and practical leather sculpture works. Next are the works by Chia-yun’s mother, who used various different materials to DIY delicate and cute works. Yi-nong’s mother not only provided necklaces and earrings made from high-grade Swarovski rhinestones, and Yi-nong’s tile creations were also part of the exhibition.

Exhibition of works

After preparing the works, we started arranging the displays. Most of our displays were completed with the help of our parents. The site of the exhibition is the hallway outside the classroom. Some of the works were displayed on a flat surface, and some charms were hung up vertically. When the exhibition was officially open, many students and teachers were excited and came to see it. As they praised our DIY works, we felt very proud.

I think that Chia-yun’s mother and Chia-yun’s clay works look the best because their fruit tarts and desserts look so realistic, and look so delicious, we love them!

DIY exhibition of works not only showed the beauty of DIY works, and more people can clearly understand “there are so many types of DIY!”
