¡@ | ¡@ On Saturday, November 12, 2011, on the morning of the Water Running Festival, the team collected the opinions and suggestions of 101 people who participated in the Water Running Festival events: 1. Statistics on questionnaires: In the following, for Q1 to Q6 the ratios of answers are shown with diagrams, and Q7 is an open-ended question, so summary, composite analysis, integration, and listing are used to show the questionnaire content: Q: Genders of people participating in sampling: Male: 36, Female: 52, No response: 13

Q7: Do you have other suggestions for the Water Running Festival event? (example: vendor stalls, location, or time¡K¡K) For the 2011 Water Running Festival, the sampled participants had the following suggestions:
2. Statistical analysis of questionnaires We accounted for each closed-answer question among the 101 valid questionnaires, using them to create pie charts to show the ratios of opinions. However, for the last open-ended question, we not only counted the numbers who filled out the answer, but also summarized the opinions and suggestions of the respondents, and they are organized and explained in a list fashion. These statistics show that most who filled out the questionnaire are female, but there are a few who did not respond about gender. Adding the ratio of men, it is still not excessively low. Thus, the gender portion of the questionnaire is not biased toward a certain gender. On Q1: Are you a local resident? This shows that there is a higher ratio of local resident participation in Water Running Festival events. On Q2: Is this your first time at the Water Running Festival? This was not the first time for most people, which shows that each year, the Water Running Festival still attracts a significant ratio of ¡§old-timers.¡¨ In addition, Water Running Festival has already been taking place for years, but it still could attract new tourists to witness the ceremony and enjoy themselves. On Q3: How did you hear about this event? Most heard via ¡§friends¡¨ and ¡§other methods (such as: internet, broadcast, newspaper, television news¡K¡K).¡¨ This shows that friends would invite other friends, and promote via word-of-mouth to come here, which shows that it has broader promotional effect than channels such as internet, broadcast, newspaper, and television news. This is why we wanted to use ¡§Water Running Festival¡¨ as the theme for our website. We hope to promote local cultural specialties, to attract more people to participate in the Water Running Festival event. On Q4: How much time are you willing to spend here? Most people are willing to spend more than half a day to participate in Water Running Festival events, which shows that the event content is considerably attractive to tourists.¡C On Q5: Did the time and location for the event work with your schedule? Many subjects thought the location of the event was good and could accommodate their travel plans. On Q6: Would you still want to come to the Water Running Festival next time? A high ratio of subjects said they would be willing to participate in the Water Running Festival again. On Q7: Do you have other suggestions for the Water Running Festival event? (example: vendor stalls, location, or time¡K¡K) For this question, more people did not express an opinion. However, those who expressed opinions can be used to see the issues they thought were insufficient. The main suggestion was that there were fewer numbers and types of stalls compared to last year, making it not very exciting. Further, some participants were also dissatisfied with the environmental cleanup and parking lot arrangements. We hope that in the future the Water Running Festival would be planned better. We also hope that as Ershui people, we can do our best to promote local specialties, so that more people can participate in the Water Running Festival to understand this meaningful cultural event. ¡@ |
