Other Locomotives

From the early 1900s, steam locomotives were gradually superseded by electric and diesel locomotives. Since then, CRH has maintained various new type of locomotives, so you can come to visit all of them.

Changhua Roundhouse is the largest maintenance place for R20.

S318, the last remaining Locomotive S300, is in charge of dispatching trains regularly .

E101 is the only one of serial E100 still in operation.

P.S. It has to attach powertrain to supply power for air-conditioning equipment. It is used for ordinary express trains and freight trains.

CRH was built for steam locomotives. How does it maintain new types of locomotives?

Workbenches in the stalls 1-7 were reformed to maintain new types of locomotives. However, the high voltage wires can not be set inside CRH due to the fan-shaped of the building. Consequently, the electric and diesel locomotives have to move out from the stall and for the test of the electrical function.
