CRH is a reinforced concrete structure. It has 12 lines of rails, radiating from a single turntable in the center, with 99-degree central angle, so the configuration of each maintenance track is 8.25 degree at average. Then, what else should we know? Here are some reports from Cool-Bow.

- Roundhouse is build for steam locomotives and the chimneys are build for heat convection.

Focus 3Two different types of maintenance workbench
- Grounded type
It was the earlier type of maintenance workbench for steam locomotives. Afterwards, tracks 1-7 were rebuilt as semi-subsidence ones for later locomotives. - Semi-subsidence type
It is also called three dimensional maintenance workbenches for electric and diesel locomotives and was built in 1961. Moreover, a third story was added to the workbenches on tracks 1 and 2.
The wall between tracks 7 and 8 forms the division between different maintenance workbench.
Workbenches on the tracks 8 -12 are ground type.
Three-story maintenance workbenches on the tracks 1 and 2 are for electric locomotive E300.
Workbenches on the tracks 1-7 are semi-subsidence type.
Focus 4360° Turntable
- It serves to allow trains can use it for changing directions.
- It is a movable bridge with mechanical propulsion which rotated around a pole where the bridge is suspended in balance.
- Operator makes the bridge of the turntable aim at a track leading to an vacant stall.
The turntable can be rotated by mechanical propulsion.
The turntable was made of steel and it is able to move in all directions.
The cab should be right on the white mark of the bridge for balance.
The turntable consists of a circular track in a round pit in which the bridge rotated.

The circular track of turntable is slippery on a rainy day and stones can help to move the bridge.
