On the Saturday morning, the teachers
and parents took us to visit Shung Ye Museum of Formosan
Aborigines. In the exhibition area of basement included objects
and artifacts used in traditional ceremonies and rites provide
insight into traditional indigenous beliefs. The displays on the
first floor provide a summary of the cultural characteristics of
Taiwan’s indigenous tribes. This exhibition area on the second
floor presents traditional arts and crafts and daily use items,
as well as models of traditional dwellings, to reveal
traditional lifestyles and social relationships. This exhibition
area on the third floor includes displays on indigenous weaving
and clothing, which provide an understanding of indigenous
culture and society. The weaving and clothing of indigenous
people are all very beautiful.
After this visit, I found that
indigenous people are good at making use of natural resource and
would never destroy the environment. This kind of sprite is
really worth learning. This visit really interested me and I
learnt a lot form them.
