Cooking the string noodles


Before cooking the Liu Xie Chang handmade string noodles we bought, we tried them raw, and unexpectedly everyone liked them very much.

According to our teacher, cooking string noodles is very simple, and all that is needed is to put them in the boiling water for a while, and then mixed it with any soup or materials we like. What we cooked at that time with the help of Sun Shao-Jie’s mother, was the simplest barbeque sauce string noodles.

Procedure of cooking string noodles:

  • Boiling water: the water is boiled and it should be remembered that more water is needed for cooking handmade string noodles, or the dish will be too salty.
  • Putting the string noodles in the water: proper amount of string noodles are put into the boiling water.
  • Scooping up the string noodles: the string noodles are scooped up after the water boils again.
  • Seasoning: the string noodles are mixed with sesame oil, tea oil or other sauces. What we made was barbeque sauce string noodles.
