Foreword
Shou-Jing:Ghost busting, soul restoration after disturbing encounters, a Taiwanese folk custom.
The way of Yuan-Shuai Temple's Shou-Jing is so different from other temples, other temples' Shou-Jing are administered by particular person, but Yuan-Shuai Temple's Shou-Jing is administered by god.
Step 1:Worship Tian-Gong

Enter the temple, worship the Tian-Gong first, then insert 12joss sticks into the stone censer.
Tian-Gong:A god, Taiwanese believe the god is the the ruler of heaven.

Step 2:Worship the Main Gods
Go into the main hall, insert joss sticks remained in your hands into the main gods' censer. Then speak three informations to the gods: 'what name?', 'where live?', 'What request?'
After above, you sit quiet on a long and low stool beside the atrium and wait. Wait until ' joss sticks ' has burnt over half the length, cast the divining blocks. (Divining blocks: two matching wooden blocks shaped like the halves of a cashew nut).
If the result of casting the divining blocks is good, it means that the gods have completed your request. If the result of casting the divining blocks is bad, it means that the gods have not completed your request yet, and you have to come to the temple again on the next day.

Speak three informations to the gods: 'what name?', 'where live?', 'What request?'

Sit quiet on a low stool beside the atrium, and wait until 'joss sticks' has burnt over half the length.

The time of Shou-Jing is from 9:00AM to 21:00PM everyday. Shou-Jing is free of charge.
