Cause---
|
| We
are moved by the story-telling mothers of A-fu’s Bookstore and Chungyi Elementary School and eager to promote
reading in our school. I hope the reading volunteers in our school could
establish a reading volunteer group, bringing more students into the heaven of
reading. First we tried to get an understanding of the background, spare time,
problems they are faced with, and the skills they want to improve by
questionnaires on the volunteers. After analyzing the collected questionnaires
we invited the school master, the director and teachers to hold a research
meeting which the reading volunteers attended.
Yan-cui’s mother was invited to share the experience of
establishing the story-teller organization in Chungyi Elementary School.
The story-telling mothers exchanged skills. We hope this meeting could spread
the seeds of reading and strengthen the determination of the reading
volunteers. |

Design the questionnaire---[Questionnaire]

We
discussed the contents of the questionnaire during the noon break, and decided
to design the questionnaire from such aspects as their occupation, the
frequency of telling stories in school, the problems they are faced with, and
the skills they want to improve.
Survey ---
We
asked the director of each class to help us in collecting the questionnaires,
and called the volunteers one by one for her willingness to attend the meeting.

analyzed the statistic data by Microsoft Excel software.

| It
was a successful meeting. All those attended the meeting were eager to share
their experience. We were moved by the eagerness of the volunteers and
determined to try out best to promote reading in Lujiang Elementary School.
Some of the mothers volunteered to form a reading volunteer organization. We
were very happy to see our efforts got plenty of rewards. |
