Last year, for the first time, Taipei 101 displayed 30 seconds of amazing fireworks to greet the New Year. This year, Taipei 101 brought up an even more luxurious 128-second firework display at the total cost of more than US$625,000! We were lucky enough to record it and share the wonderful moments with people around the world.

According to Taipei 101, there were 12 shows that went along with the final countdown and then came the main show. Millions of people around the world were able to watch it on CNN, NHK and other major international networks.

On the last second of 2005, every 8 floor above the 34th floor sent out the first wave of colorful fireworks titled Blossoming Flowers Brought Good Fortune which totally glorified everything. And then the fireworks spread out like a crown making Taipei 101 the king of the world!

The first highlight of the night was controlled by high-tech computer programs. The fireworks sent up to the sky embraced Taipei 101 in all shapes of amazement and with gorgeous arrangements stirred the audience up. Members from the Fantastic 9 were dispatched to the nearby park and used their mobile phone, digital cameras and DV to record these wonderful moments and share them with friends on the Internet, in the hope that 2006 is a fun year filled with hope!
