John Returns to Taiwan
After getting back to Taiwan, John’s mother and younger sister sent John to the hospital for a check at once. When Doctor Zhen, who was the doctor who gave the permission for John to go to America, saw the fainting John, he was very worried. He diagnosed John and told John to use the electrotherapy to cure his sickness. But the electrotherapy caused great uncomfortable to John, but it helped John's condition a lot, the tumour on John's body was diminished day by day, therefore, the number of times that John accepts the electrotherapy of one day was extended slowly.
When John’s doing the electrotherapy, John felt his head is splitting badly and the hearing turned into the condition of the condition he had before when he was salicylic acid poisoned, any sound that gets to his ears were all very sharp. Originally, John’s mother was worried about that John may have things in his brain. John went do a head scanning and hadn’t found other diseases. The doctor thinks medicine John took in the U.S.A. contains the morphine. John needs to give up the morphine first, so during this section, pain is unavoidable.
But John can understand that: 'The doctor was unwilling to give me new medicine to take, so that shows that I’m not curable. Then, I will just go back to do the electrotherapy and not give up for lost.’ By this way, John made a decision and endurably does the electrotherapy to recover his body slowly.
John accepts the electrotherapy.
The Situation Now
Now, John is blind, his limbs are withered, his facial nerve is damaged and he has handicap on language. It’s difficult for him to even just say one sentence; sometimes, when he even hasn’t finished saying one word, the saliva has already trickled unboundedly. In order to speak a little more clearly, John sucks the plum inside his mouth, to stimulate the nerves of root of the tongue. When he speaks a few sentences each time, the saliva trickles unboundedly, when that happens, he will wipe the saliva out by a towel clipped between his jerked arms.
Now, John is still suffering from the illness deeply, with the degradation day by day of his body function, his life is getting shorter and shorter every moment.However, his intension is very abundant. His life has encouraged many depressed soul; His smiling face has nourished many faces that are out of favor. The people that have seen that magnificent smile will comprehend deeply, what is 'Finding the value of life in the calls of love!'
