The Trip of Hope
To John, the trip to U.S.A. is the most inconceivable change of his life. Before, he had nothing to do at home, his mood was gloomy and often conflict with his parents. Sometimes, he really thinks that life is hopeless. He had never thought that a phone call from his sister will lit up life again and at last changed a living environment. Firstly, it relieved the nervous relationship between him and his parents; secondly, he can widen his view by this trip. Therefore, on February, 1993, when everything was set, John’s sister brought John to U.S.A.
Going abroad for the first time, John was very excited and very curious. When he reached U.S.A. for the first time, John wasn’t familiar with the life style of the U.S.A., but he tries his best to suit himself. John’s sister knows that John likes to make pottery, so she cleaned up a place in the storeroom for John, and putted a desk and a chair for John to make pottery. Therefore, the storeroom instantly became John’s pottery art work room. John was addicted in his pottery world.

Checking John’s eyes
Not for long, John’s sister took John to check his eyes. After one hour of inspection, the doctor tells John’s sister: ' Your elder brother's eye’s nerves has totally gone dead, according to now’s technology, we don't have the cure your brother’s eyes, however, we are holding a kind of experiment of planting cells in frog's eyeballs now, if we success, perhaps your elder brother's eyes can be cured. After John’s sister heard this, she’s obviously quite disappointed.
In fact, John didn’t have the strong hope. Yet the doctor continued to ask whether John would like to let the hospital picture his eyeball structure, for the hospital to get some information to study. Therefore, the similar patients that come after may get some help. John agreed without thinking. Taking a whole day, the doctor shot different angles of John's eyeball carefully with all kinds of equipments and wrote down the situation of every angle in detail, in order to find out about the situation of John’s eyeball.
After shooting, the doctor thanked John's enthusiastic cooperation, in order to show the appreciation of the hospital, John’s examination this time is free.

The Death visits once again
After John reached U.S.A. for about five months, in one afternoon, he felt a little tired after finishing his pottery art. Wonder why, he was careless and unexpectedly sat down before he reach the bed, the whole person falls and sits on the ground, the vertebra bumps against the edge of bed. At that time, vertebra of him collide pained badly, he sat for a long time to stand up. Later, he lie in bed and realized the situation was getting more and more serious. Originally, only his foot bottom felt numb, but now, his both feet felt numb too.
He thought it would be a bit finer after he sleeps, but he had never expected the numb feeling expanded the chest. John found that it was all numb under his chest, and the left foot is trembling constantly. John begins to worry and asked his younger sister to take him to the hospital. Getting to the hospital, the doctor arranges John for diagnose and scanned John's legs and brain. As a result, John's head is out of question, but left bone and nerve have been injured.
The other day, John thinks his own belly muscle pulls badly, the whole belly muscle was tightened; after sometime, the muscle relaxed slowly and John didn't feel the pain; The situation took place again a few moments later. The situation continued. John told the doctor about this situation, the doctor sent John into the checking room immediately and used the ultrasonic wave to make a belly check. The check found that John stomach had several pieces of fester meat and several places had holes. John must have an operation as soon as possible, otherwise there will be life dangers.
The operation went smoothly some how. John was sent into the ICU after the operation. Unfortunately, the situation of the recovering of the wound isn't pretty good. Each time the doctor came to check, he always found the wound bleeding. Two weeks later, when the doctor checks John's wound, he found John's wound had pus. The doctor kept trying to push the pus out of the wound and use cotton to clean it.
At that time, John's belly felt numb, he only knew someone was dealing with his wound, but it didn't hurt. The doctor found the wound was still irritating and John's musculature had a situation of festering. The doctor sent John into the operation room urgently and prepared to do an operation again to cut of the fester meat.
The two operations continuiously made John's body very weak; breathing was also very difficult, John must rely on the oxygen tent to support his breathing. After the operation, John went into a coma again. He woke up and slept and his breathing was very weak.The doctor checked John's body and found the situation of the recovering of his wound was really bad, and his high fever has not cooled down. "It's really difficult for John to encounter this bad situation." the doctor said. John's younger sister heard it, and felt very sad to dial a trans-oceanic telephone call tell her mom about this at once. John's mother felt sad when she heard the news, but she comforts John's younger sister to be calm and strong, therefore, that period of time when John went into a coma, the whole family was praying to God continuiously, blessing John to encounter this dangerous situation.
About ten days later, John's high fever was cooled down and overcomed the coma finally.The doctor put a iron clip on his wound in order to let John's wound recover more quickly. In a few days, the doctor thinks that John's situation has already calmed down, so the doctor transfered John to the public ward. However, John still thinks it's numb below his chest.The doctor checked John again and diagnosed that John has got " uninfectable phthisis". The bacterias of the phthisis has harm his nerves, so it caused his whole body to be numb.
John often felt uncomfortable in his stomach after taking the medicine of the phthisis. Therefore, he often vomits all the food. His younger sister knew that her elder brother doesn't like the food in the hospital, so she often help John change the taste, for example, she bought Japanese food, or something else. At last, the situation of the phthisis was handled, so John got out of the hospital.

After John leave hospital, hospital notify local hygiene unit whether each come to make blooding drawing to check for John week, in order to find out about his pulmonary tuberculosis situation.At the same time, send whole case whole nutrition tonic of case here also, let John supplement nutrition.
