This is a traditional Amis rice-milling
bucket. In Amis traditions, place the golden
ears of rice paddy in the rice-milling
bucket and gently pound the rice to separate
individual paddy.
The
fabric on the edges of a rice-milling bucket
is designed to prevent rice paddy from

This is a traditional Amis fishing bucket.
Traditionally, it is made with rattans and
made in a cone shape.
At the bottom of the bucket, a hole is
designed to allow fishes to enter the
bucket. Once they entered the hole, they

In the early days, this rattan-made utensil
was used to husk rice paddy. When shaking
the rattan-made huskers, husks shall be
