Happy Kids Weekend

Because of the Enterovirus outbreak, TECC decided to do community service. The pastors and other volunteers called on every family to understand the need of our community. We at first held the Happy Kids Weekend and designed different kinds of activities. Then on Christmas and Easter we rented proper places to throw parties. Our purpose was to let children and parents enjoy these activities. We now also hold lectures for teenagers and adults. These activities are free, and everyone can join in. Information of Happy Kids Weekend:

◆ Time: 1:30~4:50 P.M. of the first and third Saturday of each month

◆ Place: B1, No. 163, Sung-Hsin Rd, Hsin-Yi District, Taipei

◆ Classes: Class A for kindergarten ~ grade 4 (2 sessions), Class B for grade 5 ~ 6

◆ Contents: group games, dancing, singing, theme dramas, discussions and sharing

◆ Attendance: about 150 children and teenagers in normal program, 500 in festival program

◆ Teachers and volunteers: about 30 for regular program and 80 for festival program

We designed fun activities for children, including plays, little games, and singing. Teachers are always willing to share their experiences; they are patient and energetic.

To understand Happy Kids Weekend, we personally joined in the activities. We also interviewed many members. In the interview of the pastor, she described the whole concept of this activity. We organized the main ideas in the next pages, so you can understand the essence of Happy Kids Weekend.
