Project Overview
Problems We Had To Overcome
This project is not easy for us. But it's also not too difficult, for we are a part of it. Although we live and grew in Xiju, we still know very little about her. So we did many things and spent great amount of time on this project.
- This is our first time to participate in this kind of competition. We believe hard working can the lack of experience. We spent 12 hours per week to plan and design activities to get information we need and to see what we can do in our school's campus teachings.
- We've never tried to deal with so much information like this. And it's our first time to do so many things with Microsoft Word. We didn't know that Word is so useful that we can edit our thoughts so well.
- It's pretty cool to set up a website. We did some layout jobs while writing articles on Word. And we learned a lot in filming videos, too. We need to dub for some of our videos for the original voice cannot be heard well due to the sea wind.
- We already tried so hard on this project. However, we're not good enough to make everything perfect. We looked for many professionals' help. And their help really upgraded the quality of our project. Looking for help is really important. We learned not to be shy to ask for help.
- Another difficulty we meet is winter vacation. Some of our members went to Taiwan, some of them went to China to celebrate traditional new year with their families. So we negotiated with teachers and one another's family, decided to stay at school in the first four days of the vacation. After we left Xiju, we use facebook, QQ and wechat to keep in touch with one another.
We faced so many difficulties in this project, and we never quitted. We learned so much in this project. We feel thankful for everyone participated in this project. And we feel happy for seeing all these done so well.

The mainly beginning point is the language field. This is our first project. We started from reading picture books and traveling magazines to understand local culture. Then we made a list of people to interview, and wrote down some questions to ask. During preparing the interview, Children practiced reading, speaking, listening, and eventually writing after getting information.
